Do you know how we recover 38,000 liters of cutting oil every month (yes, you read that right—thirty-eight thousand)? In this reel, we’ll show you how.
Every month at Caleffi, we recover 38,000 liters of lubricating oil. To give you an idea, that’s 38 full tanks of oil which, stacked one on top of the other, would reach 44 meters high—taller than our vertical warehouse.
The recovery process begins when the oil has finished its job and completed its cycle.
At that point, it’s suctioned through pipes along with the metal chips produced during the machining of parts.
First, we separate them: chips on one side, oil on the other.
Those chips aren’t thrown away—we clean them, dry them, and then they can be reused…
