As part of a strategic realignment, Monnin SA was looking for an automated solution for swarf oil removal. The solution needed to be technically flexible, operationally reliable, and require minimal manual effort. The challenge: three types of swarf, three different oils, and stringent requirements for cleaning, recirculation, and integration. Discover how the Rimann team implemented these requirements.
Located in the heart of the Bernese Jura, a region known worldwide for its microtechnology expertise, Monnin SA has been manufacturing high-precision screw-machined components for the watchmaking and related industries since 1946. This traditional company combines craftsmanship with technological progress, focusing particularly on efficient and clean production processes.
Monnin SA defined four key requirements for the new structure:
A complex requirement, ideal for a flexible solution from Rimann.
In collaboration with its partner company FAMA, Rimann implemented a system centered around the FCM 65 centrifuge, which was custom-tailored to the specific needs of Monnin SA. The technical foundation includes a drum diameter of 650 mm, a capacity of 130 kg, and a speed of 720 rpm. The system is complemented by coordinated, customer-specific peripheral components:
